Goal Setting Packages

Whereas our Products are stand-alone items that can be prepared and purchased separately, our Packages consist of a group of Products that we have packaged together to meet specific needs. The following Goal Setting Packages are designed to help clients set appropriate goals and performance benchmarks, and to align employee and company goals to create a more unified workforce working toward similar targets.

Brash Solutions is not an ‘off-the-shelf’ product provider, and always ensures clients’ particular commercial needs are properly taken into account. Invariably, a client would first obtain Brash Solutions’ Goal Setting Services to identify the right solution, and then a suitable Goal Setting Package may be provided.

Reward & Performance Management (RPM) System
The RPM system involves choosing key individual employees, or groups of employees, and carving out variable remuneration, specifying appropriate performance targets, measuring actual performance, and quantifying rewards that flow from that performance.

The two components of the RPM system can be broken down as follows:
 
Bullet Reward

The RPM system assists in determining the structure of an employee’s total employment cost to the company, and in particular:
 
Bullet
the split of an employee’s total package into fixed remuneration (paid regardless of performance) and variable, performance-based remuneration,
 
Bullet the split of variable remuneration into short and long-term bonuses, and
 
Bullet the split of bonuses into cash and equity components.
 
Bullet Performance Management

The RPM system allows the user to input a list of performance benchmarks, and then:

see the impact of objectively-tracked and subjectively-judged performance benchmarks on the employee’s overall remuneration,

Bullet translate performance scores into specific dollar bonuses,
 
Bullet track the employee’s progress towards a long-term bonus mid-way through an assessment period, and
 
Bullet manually adjust performance benchmarks for factors outside the employee’s control.

T.E.A.M. Program
T.E.A.M. is an acronym for The Employee Alignment Method. As outlined more fully in Goal Setting Services, T.E.A.M. has been designed to streamline the goal setting and alignment process, so that employees can align their wants with the goals of the company. What better way of boosting motivation and hence performance than having employees – for their own reasons – want what the company wants?

The T.E.A.M. Program can be conducted over 2-3 weeks, partly independently and partly together with your relevant staff over either a half day or full day, or over a number of weeks in a series of 2-3 hour sessions, at your offices or a separate venue if preferred. 

The program involves 5 phases:
  • Phase 1 – Probe: Using customised questionnaires, we first obtain information from you and where appropriate a number of other sources, to extract your company’s current state of wisdom on what needs to be improved. You may be happy for T.E.A.M. to focus just on what the company or team wants, to clarify and articulate performance benchmarks for certain employees. Or you may want T.E.A.M. to go deeper and also clarify and articulate what relevant employees want, what blocks exist, and possible solutions – in other words, a more probing and action-oriented outcome.
     
  • Phase 2 – Consult: Here, we elicit input in person from management, employees and teams of employees. It involves forums in a casual, relaxed environment designed to set at ease potential employee concerns, while listening to what is really going on in the workplace. There would be a few short sessions with different groups of employees and where appropriate, with key individuals – with the object of identifying all the relevant wants and blocks.
     
  • Phase 3 – Analyse: After the workshop, we assimilate all the input and identify new performance benchmarks or practical solutions – the next step the company or individuals need to take to remove blocks and achieve alignment of wants.
     
  • Phase 4 – Report: After consultation with the company, we prepare our report outlining our analysis of performance benchmarks and/or alignment and mis-alignment of wants, the applicable blocks, and most importantly the solutions.
     
  • Phase 5 – Implement: We realise employee issues rarely involve a quick fix. After you’ve had time to assimilate our report, we meet you again to resolve any issues our report has uncovered, and help you with the practical task of seeing performance benchmarks put in place and/or solutions implemented. We can thereafter be available to help you monitor the ongoing process of implementation.
